Following the Church Council meeting on Monday 12 October, the decision was taken to re-open for worship from 18 October.
To ensure we keep everybody as safe as possible and comply with both government and Methodist Church requirements, including social distancing; numbers able to attend each service will be limited. To assist with this, where possible, we are asking people to pre book if they’d like to attend. You can pre-book on line by clicking here or you can ask a friend, family member or Church Steward to do this for you if you don’t have access to the internet.
Sunday worship will start as normal at 11:00 am, but will be shorter than normal and will not include any singing and at the end of the service we will not be able to mingle / share refreshments.
This Sunday, as we continue to celebrate harvest we will be collecting for the Foodbank and also the Community Larder at the GO4 Café of the Recreation Ground. We will have stall and a small harvest display outside the hall from 10:30 am – 3:00 pm to collect any harvest donations.
Despite re-opening for worship, we will be continuing the many other weekly activities that have been running during COVID (with most if not all hoped to continue long after the pandemic).
These include:
- Sunday Service Replay on the phones at 2:30 pm on Sunday,
- Facebook Live Worship at 4:00 pm on Sunday,
- Zoom Drop In Café from 2:00 – 3:30pm each Monday afternoon,
- Weekly Prayer Meeting via Zoom, jointly with St Stephen’s, at 10:00 am on Tuesday morning, and
- Bible Study On Thursday evening at 7:30 pm again on Zoom and with St Stephen’s.
Everybody is invited to join all and / or any of these.
Further details of these, and how to join, are available via our web site and / or Facebook page. Alternatively, pleas e contact one of the Stewards who will be happy to assist you.
